Remembrance Day Acknowledgements at Fernwood Today

posted Nov 9, 2017, 3:17 PM by Leah Ashford

Each child had an opportunity to be with other students in mixed age groupings today. Teachers had chosen a book that would be read and children chose their group this way. Following that each child coloured their own poppy. Our Ceremony today at 11:00, led by Ms Logan, began with the placement of the poppies, speeches by two of our Grade 5 students, Caleb Grange and Callah Ruehlen, a group song "There is Peace in My Fingers (and in my head and in my heart)"  led by Ms Logan on her Ukulele. There was also a moment of silence and the playing of The Rouse and The Last Post.
