Dear Fernwood Families,

In an effort to remain responsive during the COVID-19 pandemic, SD64 has been working with the Ministry of Education to provide a flexible return to school option.   This option will allow families to hold a spot at Fernwood while learning from home until they are ready to send your child back to school.  This opportunity to return to in-class learning at Fernwood would happen on a flexible timeline that would likely coincide with natural breaks in the school year (such as Winter and Spring breaks, for example).  

More information about this program and registration timelines are expected to be available by noon on Monday, August 24.  We wanted to give you the heads up while you are making decisions about your child's return to school in these challenging times.

For those of you who are planning to bring your children to Fernwood full time in September, I can assure you we are working very hard to make sure that your child's class will be a fun and safe environment to learn in.  More details about the updated health and safety protocols will be available on August 26.  

We thank the Ministry of Education for working closely with SD64 to make these opportunities happen for students at Fernwood.
