DPAC (the District Parent Advisory Council) has provided funds for Jenny Redpath, Cali Chang and SD64 Teacher/Counseller Tiffany Wightman to come to our school on the evening of May 11th to give a parent presentation on Body Science and how to talk to our kids about sex and their bodies. They are happy to tailor the discussion around what concerns parents have around what time to introduce topics about sexual health and strategize around more challenging conversations: sex, masturbation, gender,etc To support and encourage parent's ability to attend, the Fernwood Parent Advisory Council will provide funding to provide babysitting and an hour session of games with Bryan Dubien. Snacks provided as well. |
